What are the different options available for getting around our region?

How can my transportation choices help keep me and the earth healthy?

These great questions coupled with the right information and resources can help inspire a student's lifelong approach to sustainable transportation.

Book a free TravelSmart transportation workshop for grade 6 and 7 North Shore students.

Understanding smart travel options is a great way for kids to create a lifetime appreciation for the importance of transportation choices to their health, safety and the environment.

This 1.5 hour transportation workshop is for North Shore grade 6 and 7 students. This session helps kids learn practical tips, such as how they can plan transit trips using web-based tools, as well as concepts regarding the importance of sustainable transportation options including cycling, walking carpooling and transit.

This interactive presentation is sponsored by TransLink and is fully funded so there is no cost to participating schools.

If you would like to book a September, October or December session for a North Shore school, please email Karen Halex at Karen.Halex@translink.ca or call 604-453-4615. Other municipalities who are interested in workshops, please contact us for info on when we'll be in your neighbourhood.
