Metro Vancouver Area Walking
You're familiar with the benefits of walking and as Metro Vancouverites, we're pretty lucky when it comes to walking options!
If you're looking for a new walk, here are some resources to get out and try something new:
1. Walk Vancouver: is a great website that lists mainly Downtown walks, along with the types of things you'll enjoy along the way (such as shopping, scenic, seaside etc.). It also lists the distance and estimated time it'll take you - perfect if you want to combine a leisurely stroll into a day's outing.
2. Vancouver Park Board: This page lists walking related resources - but don't miss the right side column of this page for a very comprehensive list of destination walks, park trails & walks, local theme walks, arts and culture walks and more!
3. Things to do in Vancouver: This website lists walks in Downtown and the West Side - but also highlights some great North Shore walks that you'll want to try out. Be a tourist in your own city!
4. Northwest Magazines: This site lists a couple of great walks that we wanted to make sure were on your radar: Delta's George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary and South Surrey's Blackie Spit Park.
