Commuting Gadgets: Superbly Impractical, but oh so Cool
Considering commuting can be a tedious experience, it’s little wonder that a lot of thought has been put into creating devices to ease common commuting woes. Did these inventions hit the mark? We think not.
1. Motor shoes: Is parking a pain? It was for one inventor. Peter Treadway developed remote controlled motorized shoes with wheels.

2. Solar-powered electric scooter ideal for urban commuting: A scooter that looks chic and oozes sustainability? This scooter boasts James Bond capabilities with smart phone connectivity and an integrated voice assistance feature within the sense helmet. So far this is just in the prototype stage, and has yet to make an appearance in the real world. We want one.

3. Picnic Table Bike: Can’t decide between going for a bike ride or having a picnic? Who says you have to choose one?

4. Jet bike: If you’ve ever struggled to cycle up a hill you were, perhaps, in the same mindset as the inventor of the jet bike.

5. Cook while driving: With all the time you’re spending in traffic, wouldn’t it be great to know that you’re also cooking dinner? This clever device uses the heat from your exhaust pipe to cook burgers. Bon appétit? We'll pass.
