Some employees are reluctant to leave their car at home for fear of a personal emergency that requires them to leave work immediately, unexpected overtime or are stranded by a carpool driver.

The company establishes a policy and procedure, including qualifications, and eligibility. Most people rarely use it, but when they do, this ‘safety net’ is greatly appreciated.
