Help Your staff save on transit costs

Did you know that if at least 25 people in your company enrol in TransLink's Employer Pass Program for at least 12 months, you can provide them with an approximate savings of 15% on their daily commute! And consider this, 18% of current passholders were driving alone to work before enrolling. So it can be a smart way for companies to support their employees and address parking issues.

Employees receive a personalized pass for the entire year, which is often paid through payroll deduction. The passes are zone-specific, so employees purchase what suits their needs. The company receives a monthly invoice. Many companies have elected to add a further subsidy as an employee benefit.

Benefits for Employers:

  • Improved morale when employees see the company supports them.
  • Builds camaraderie amongst those in "the club" and encourages others to consider taking transit.
  • Is a value-added incentive when hiring and retaining employees.
  • Reduces company costs if fewer employees are parking their cars at work.
  • Reduces the company's carbon footprint.
  • Contributes to the company's corporate social responsibility and sustainability goals.
Provide them with an approximate savings of 15% on their daily commute!

Benefits for Your Employees:

  • Saves them money, reduces stress, and the walk to and from transit can provide many health benefits!
  • They can use their Employer Pass for personal use, including using it to take another adult and up to four children on transit at no extra charge on Sundays and statutory holidays.
  • The convenience of payroll deduction means no more trips to purchase FareCards/FareSavers.
  • The pass qualifies for the 15% federal personal tax credit.

How to Enrol:

To get your employees on the Employer Pass Program, review the information available on TransLink's EPP section including downloadable forms, a list of key dates and FAQs. Promote the opportunity to staff and once you have (at least) 25 staff enrolled send your completed application to us. We'll get you started, including training your EPP Coordinator in all aspects of the program - so they can be the main contact for your employees.
